Christmas is almost here! Hard to believe….but now with all the snow we have had, we know it is just around the corner. Special thanks to Betty for rounding up all the supplies for the Advent Wreaths which are always a special centerpiece for our table. Please remember to light the candles and share the meaning of Advent with your family. I would also like to thank Joanne for organizing the “We Care Kits” Please remember to check the sign up sheet for items(option $8 Donation) and bring them in on or before December 5th (Please see Joanne). We are well underway with practicing for our Sunday school Christmas concert “Bethlehem….Nothing Ever Happens Here”. We only have a few weeks so please try and attend as many practices as possible. And here is the December calendar…

- Sunday – December 5th: We will be practicing for the play during regular class. Please try and attend. We will be having a Sunday school lunch and a practice after church till 1:30pm. Please bring a potluck item for the Sunday school lunch.
***Extra Event…..Bethlehem LIVE!GatewayChristianCommunityChurch invites you to experience an interactive living Nativity - all ages will enjoy the sights, smells & sounds of Bethlehem’s first Christmas. Tours are running every ½ hour continuously, admission is FREE! . Times: Thursday, December 9 6-9 pm
Friday, December 10 10-2 pm & 6-9 pm
Saturday, December 11 12-3 pm & 6-9 pm

** We are looking at our church attending Saturday, December 12th at 1:00pm. Please advise if you are interested in attending. See Val.
Saturday– December 11th: Play practice at the church from 11:30pm til 12:30pm. Please RSVP if you cannot make the practice or if there is a better time to have the practice. We would like as many there as possible. Email or call Val. Thank you J
- Sunday – December 12th: “We Care Kits” Sunday school children will be putting together “We Care Kits” please have your child join in helping the less fortunate have a Merry Christmas! We will be practicing for the play during regular class. Please try and attend J

- “Christmas Party ”
Children’s Christmas Party after church from 12:00pm till 1:00pm. All Sunday school children are invited to bring a wrapped gift for approximately $5.00 (Please try not to forget!) “This will be a Kodak Moment” with a special guest. Sunday School parents are invited to bring drinks, sandwiches, fruit, veggies, cheese, etc for the party. Sign up sheet will be available. Please let Val know if you will be attending by December 10th.
3. “Christmas Concert Dress Rehearsal”
We will be having a dress rehearsal from 1:00pm till 2:30pm. Please let Val know if you can attend.
- “Christmas Concert” – The Sunday school students will be performing their Christmas Concert “Bethlehem…Nothing Ever Happens Here” Please arrive at 6:15pm sharp. Sunday school parents are welcome to bring dainties for fellowship after the concert.
Last Sunday School Class is December 19th, 2010 and we will see you back on January 9th, 2011….We hope to see you in church during your holiday. Have a safe holiday!
