THE MITTEN TREE
A big Thank You to all the people who knitted items for ”The Mitten Tree”. Lots of knitted items were donated in 2007. These items were given out at the Food Bank, Ann Ross Daycare (Division of Mount Carmel Clinic), some items were included in our Christmas hampers and two boxes of items were given to the Lutheran Urban Mission.
Thank you is extended to the people who donated wool to this project or gave money to buy wool. This is very much appreciated. If you have any wool, or you know of someone, (relative, friend, neighbour) that might have wool that they cannot use, maybe they would consider donating it to our worthy cause.
The Lutheran Urban Mission has let it be known that they can always use a few more hats and mittens, especially for boys and girls ages 8 – 11 years. Sometimes we think that only smaller aged children wear these items but the children in the inner city actually have to walk long city blocks to get to school and events.
Thanks again and HAPPY KNITTING in 2008!

BILLIOUS POND UPDATE!
A date for the concert in Midale Saskatchewan has been set for the Saturday, May 3rd @ 7 p.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Midale. (Pastor Donna Smalley’s congregation)
We have also been invited to do the entire service on Sunday May 4th. Apparently their service must be broadcast on radio as there was a reference made about their radio congregation.
What a great opportunity to share the gospel with others. We covet your prayers for this upcoming event.
