The Lord Is My Teacher (a psalm prayer)
Lord, You are my Teacher, for You are the truth. You give me the rules of life, for You are the way. You lead me ever deeper into your wisdom, for You are its Life. Even when I become frustrated and fearful, Your word gives me direction. Through Your law and your gospel, Your prophets and apostles, Your writers, past and present, You grant me a mine of wisdom deep enough to last a lifetime of discovery. With this great wealth of knowledge may I through Your Spirit's guidance become Your pupil-teacher, A teacher who leads others to You, O Lord. You are my teacher for You are the Way, the Truth and the Life.
