DATE: Saturday, July 19, 2014
TIME: 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
PLACE: HylandPark
Location: Go North on Henderson Highway, past the Perimeter Highway. The entrance to the park is on Henderson, on the river side of the road. It is directly across from the ESSO refinery. There is no bus transportation. HylandPark is a small park and our location at one of the picnic shelters should be easily found. Parking is available in the park grounds.
NEST is once again holding its Summer Picnic. Please join us for a fun-filled day of food, games, prizes, and friendship.
There will be a shared potluck lunch, so bring a dish to share. Keep the food simple so there is no need for cooking or heating. Also, please bring your own non-disposable cutlery, cups, and plates.
Please dress for the weather and bugs. Think about a hat, sunscreen, bug repellent, lawn chairs, etc. If you have any outside games that are appropriate, please bring them with you.

Please Note: If there is a rainstorm on that day, we have arranged a “Rain Date” for the following Saturday, July 26th. For cloudy, cool, or light-rain weather, we will go ahead with the picnic on July 19th. We look forward to seeing you!
*There was no news concerning arrivals this past month; however there are six private-full applications for families or individuals from the Congo awaiting their turn, with the earliest application made in 2008.
*NEST has been storing household goods at Hospitality House which is currently full and unable to accept any more donations at this time. Thank you to everyone who has donated much appreciated goods. Should the need arise for more donations we will make it known.

LUTHER VILLAGE UPDATE:
We are in the thick of our programming now during this 50th Anniversary year.
Check out our website for all the programs we are offering this summer...there is still time to register and come out for something...camping, youth camps, family camps... call or email and we hope to see you out at camp.
Join us for a Sunday morning service on the beach at 10:30 am (June 29 – August 31/14).
