Prayer

Dec. 1 is World AIDS Day, a day to intentionally pray and raise awareness for the ongoing impact of HIV and AIDS around the world.  The MNO Synod Global Mission Committee offers this prayer for World AIDS Day--especially lifting up the ministry of our global companion church in Cameroon and the work they do to support children, adults and communities impacted by HIV and AIDS.

Life-giving God, today, on World AIDS day, we remember our sisters and brothers impacted by or suffering from HIV and AIDS. We ask your healing presence on millions of people living with the disease today--particularly the children who are infected or who have been orphaned by the disease. Today, we remember the Kids in Cameroon program that was developed to help orphaned and underprivileged children in Cameroon. Please watch over these children--past, present and future--and help us and the program leaders to show love, respect, understanding and grace in caring for them.
