Prayer of the Day

God of invitation, your son, Jesus, sent an invitation to all who would follow to “Come and see.” Give us courage to come and the vision to see, through the same Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Prayers of Intercession

L:  We pray for the church, the world, and all those in need.

A brief silence.

L:  God of grace, we cannot know what lies ahead whenever we start out in faith. Lead us and your whole church forward in new and inspiring ventures, and give us courage and strength to carry out all that you have called us to do. Guiding God,

C: Hear our prayer.

L:  All creation recognizes its Creator, receiving its life, its vitality, and its fruitfulness from you. Make this joyful recognition so apparent in us as well, that we honor and respect our relationship with you, the world, and all created life. Guiding God,

C: Hear our prayer.

L:  As our world seems to sink into one crisis after another, strengthen in each of us the gifts of faith, hope, and love.  Empower us both to see and to be your light shining in the darkness, and renew all those who are weary and are carrying heavy loads.  Guiding God,

C: Hear our prayer.

L:  Your touch is life; your word is healing. Lead us back to you when we wander, when we doubt, and when we crave the wholeness that you impart. Bring your blessing of healing to those who mourn and to those who are ill, especially those we name before you now... Guiding God,

C: Hear our prayer.

L:  Our pilgrim journey begins with a step and lasts forever.  Strengthen us in the company of all your faithful saints, and the confidence of everlasting life with you. Guiding God,

C: Hear our prayer.
