There is no love, like a mothers love
no stronger bond on earth
like the precious bond that comes from God,
to a Mother, when she gives birth.
A mothers love is forever strong
never changing for all time
and when her children need her most
a mothers love will shine.
God bless these special mothers
God bless them every one
for all the tears and heartache
and for the special work theyve done.
When her days on earth are over
a mothers love lives on
through many generations
with Gods blessing on each one.
Be thankful for our mothers
for they love with a higher love
from the power God has given
and the strength from up above.

THANK YOU VOLUNTEERS
At St. Luke’s Zion we have many things to be thankful for and today we would like to thank all our ‘volunteers’. These are the people in our congregation who quietly go about making sure everything that needs to be done is done.
Amazingly, every Sunday, Communion is set up, plants are regularly watered and tended, fresh flowers often appear at the front, flower baskets at the entrance, light bulbs changed, grass cut, baking for after worship fellowship, setting up and cleaning before and after the fellowship, our choir, church council members, committee members, delegates, money is counted, knitting is done, wool is provided, hospital visitation, prison ministry, visiting and singing at senior’s homes, putting together and working the yard sale, sending out cards to families, praying for others, cleaning up after communion, reading the lessons, teaching Sunday school, refugee sponsorship, working the projector, food bank, hampers, L.U.M., shovelling the snow, spring clean up, selecting the hymns, rolling pennies and warmly greeting guests and members each Sunday.
I am sure that many things have been left out but the fact is that the church cannot properly function without everyone pitching in and using their God given gifts. So thank you one and all for all your hard work and dedication.
You are greatly appreciated!
